Peeking down the broad west slope of the peak towards Independence and across to the Inyos
Pavla descends the fun way.
Saying goodbye to the summit
And goodbye to this fantastic view of Wright Lakes basin and Tyndall
Descending our ridge
Descending, we'll contour around the in-between ridge through the trees. Mostly because I'm ready for some shade.
Among the cool rock formations on the ridge.
More balancing rocks on the ridge.
Spotted this crazy gorge along wallace creek on our hike out.
On the way in we came from the right. Instead of going back through the rock we head straight and around through the trees.
Almost back to camp. Yaaaay. Tiring day.
My favorite creek, soaked my feet for many minutes here.
Our peaceful lake.
During dinner, we noticed the outcropping on the peak looked like a marmot sitting up. He was our lookout.
David's primary sustenance on this trip was fish. Mmm.
Sunset from camp.
Another stellar dinner view
Goodnight Wright Lakes basin!
