Today's GPS track and map
Cool log crossing near the hot spring.
Hot Spring in the morning - we didn't stop this time since we enjoyed it yesterday (and it was busy).
Kern Canyon. It was so hot at the bottom the previous day, I was glad to be in the shade for the majority of the morning.
Kern River (full of fishies - best fishing ever!)
Another Whitney sign. We've knocked off a bit in the past few days.

We're climbing out of the canyon now, but we're still on the Kern River
More Whitney signs. This isn't the distance to the end, since we'll still have 11 miles or so to get down off the mountain once we summit in a couple of days.
The beautiful river next to camp. We took another half day here, relaxing and lounging around on the warm rocks and cool water. Perfect afternoon.
Greg finds a waterslide path through the river.
Greg and Paige
MY rock. No one else can use it ever. :)
I spent a few hours here.
Such a nice place to sit and do nothing at all.
Another old cabin near our camp. I think many of these old cabins originally were built by sheep herders.
Old tin wall in the cabin
Home sweet home
I learned how to make paige happy in the backcountry. Spam and a strawberrry starburst
An odd grill/snowshoe/net/something at our campsite.
