After a rainy night, we woke up to clear skies and dry ground. Thor really loved his first night in a tent. So much that he wouldn't get out.
Before the wedding, we decided to wander a loop through the Alabama Hills, exploring the views and the arches.
Fresh snow on the peaks. Several 14ers visible in this view. Some I've done, some I'm looking forward to doing someday.
Center is Mt Whitney. Higher looking stuff to the left is just closer (langley, lone pine peak)

Back down on the flats, we're wandering over to another set of arches. Mt Whitney is never far from sight.
If these rock piles are familiar it is because the Alabama Hills have been a very popular movie filming location ever since the early days of westerns.
