Cool clouds. Nothing threatening.
Coming down - it took us a long time to get up since we weren't acclimated, but a lot faster coming down. I think 6 hrs up, 3.5 down. WOuld be about half that time if we weren't sucking air.
Little Lakes Valley is amazing from up here!
'Fun' teeter totter rocks.
We hustled down to make it back before dark.
On the descent route we followed the sand further down to bypass Francis Lake. It was so much fun and SO FAST compared to the ascent to just bomb down this stuff.
On one of the big open sandy flats. I really enjoyed this little off-trail pocket.
Cought a beautiful sunset right before getting back to the trailhead.
Our GPS track from the climb of Morgan. The only deviation on the descent from the ascent was following the sand further down.
The next morning we drove the June Lake loop to check out fall colors. Nothing spectacular this year.
Molly sure had a great time though!
