Evolution Creek Crossing

Here is the crossing point at the trail. As of this day, it came up to my mid-thigh.
After we crossed, we all took a few moments to enjoy the cold refreshing water.
Evolution Creek and Wildflowers
The falls drop down steeply below us - watch your step!

Tall narrow falls
San Joaquin river
A bridge across the San Joaquin
In this stretch there were always bridges - the water is too deep and fast moving for a crossing.
We met everyone and set up a really nice campsite. Here is Tarptent Town! (my cloudburst on the left, theresa's on the right
David chopping wood for our campfire.
Mmm....tasty freeze dried
All of John's extra food - we ate it and divvied it up.

Nice to see the guys, and nice to see some good food. :)
