Driving into the Panoche Hills - we find a hillside of yellow
While the big colorful views were nonexistant, there were some small signs of color.

Once we got higher in the hills we realized....this is not the year for wildflowers.
We decided to 'hike' the range highpoint. A short walk from roadside parking. Thor liked being out.

If it was clear, you would be able to see that the sierra is way out there with a very little bit of snow.
The north facing slopes had a little bit of green, but it was mostly brown.

The next morning we drove Panoche Road out to Paicines to check out flowers. Not great but it's still a scenic drive.
