For our last day in Zion we decided to hike to Observation Point. I was tempted to do Angel's Landing again but decided on something new instead.
The observation point trail starts from the weeping rock trailhead. It climbs steeply and then contours to a viewpoint on the canyon rim.
The trail is oddly paved.
Sunrise on the canyon rim, Angel's Landing still in the shadows.
Hiking along the paved trail.
Lots of little slots and canyons running through this area.
Looking down on another canyon
After several switchbacks the trail goes through a beautiful canyon.
Patterns in the sandstone
Walking through the canyon
Some water still down here.
Eventually we start climbing up switchbacks again and find the sun.
Looking back on the trail we just switchbacked up

These little bastards were sneaky and numerous.

Heading back down.
Through some fall colors
Back in the canyon
Huge trees, huge walls

Another slot that the trail wandered along. It dropped quite a bit.
