Arriving at our home for the night on the western edge of Death Valley
Robin busts out the big guns to move rocks so that we have room to turn around the trucks.
View from the Cabin. That's a pretty awesome joshua tree forest.
This is a classy place - it even has its own outhouse!
Our truck and bed for the night.
One of the nicest desert cabins I've been to
Lets take a look inside...
Supplies and decorations
A map of the general area with the old mines labeled. I don't quite understand the 'YOUR HERE' misspelling information at the top though.
The vehicle lineup. Not a lot of flat spaces around here, so not a good spot for a group.
Zoomer on a jet. We watched the military jets run drills overhead. one guy buzzed us so close that I could see the pilot, but my camera wasn't ready at the time.
Robin, David and I head to the peak, starting off up an old mining road.
Hey, can't a man take a $%^& in peace around here?
Peeking down one of the old tunnels.
Looking up towards the summit. It's a steep climb up the slope to the ridge.
David working his way up the slope. The joshua Tree forest in the valley below us.
